Compare
How do Product Metrics and Producthero compare?
Producthero pairs a CSS discount with four performance labels from clicks and ROAS. Product Metrics offers access to a CSS discount through a CSS partner and segments each product into six ML segments, with competitor prices, margin, stock and journeys. Producthero’s column uses its own wording.
| Feature | Product MetricsBid on POAS and win new customers on Google and Meta | |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Product performance and segmentation in Shopping and Performance Max | Google CSS in the EEA, product labels and title optimisation |
| Segmentation | Six ML segments from ad clicks and ROAS or POAS against your target, with minimum-click thresholds | Labelizer puts products into four labels (Heroes, Sidekicks, Villains, Zombies) by clicks (volume) and ROAS against a Producthero target ROAS (tROAS) you set. It analyses products daily |
| Profit (POAS) based | Yes, once you connect margins. Segments work on ROAS without them | Not stated publicly. Labels use clicks and ROAS against tROAS; the pages read mention no margin or POAS input. Producthero says its tROAS is not used for bidding in Google Ads |
| Competitor prices | Own-brand matching without a shared GTIN, by style, colour and dimensions. €0.004 per product check | Price Benchmark: per-product, click-weighted benchmark data from Google Merchant Center. It is a benchmark, not prices per named competitor |
| Why a product performs | Journeys, competitor price, margin and stock side by side for each product | Performance labels and a price benchmark per product. Margin, stock and journey data are not stated publicly |
| CSS discount | Through a CSS partner | Yes. Producthero’s wording is “Pay 20% less on your CPC”, a 20% margin advantage in ad auctions. EEA countries only |
| Feed and title optimisation | With Claude alongside Product Metrics | Title Optimizer in both CSS plans. Products AI in CSS Pro only |
| Feed labels | Approved segmentation labels written to Merchant Center | Labelizer assigns four performance labels |
| Shop platforms | Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Lightspeed, Shopware 6 | Works with Merchant Center; shop-platform coverage not compared |
| Pricing | A share of rolling 30-day Shopping spend: the first €10K is free, then 0.65% for €10–25K and 0.60% for €25–100K. €50K of spend costs €247.50 a month, excl. VAT | Channable CSS Standard €29 or CSS Pro €99 per active shop per month (as of 15 Oct 2026). Standard includes only Lite versions of Labelizer and Price Benchmark. The full versions and Products AI are in Pro |

| Tracking | The best server-side tracking: on your own domain, through every ad blocker, with automatic endpoint rotation. Sends revenue, profit, new and returning customers and LTV to Google Ads and Meta. Included in Pro | Labelizer runs on the conversions your Google Ads tag reports, and that tag gets blocked. In our ad blocker benchmark of 30 September 2026, uBlock Origin, Brave and AdGuard blocked that tag, and Safari expires its cookies after 7 days. Producthero’s own guide says missing conversions can label a Hero as a VillainSee the ad blocker benchmark |

Every purchase is marked as a new or a returning customer, so Google Ads can value new customers on their own.
Lifetime value
Revenue LTV and Profit LTV conversion values show Google which customers keep buying.
Inventory
Stock and a reorder date beside each product, so budget goes to products you can ship.

Choose Producthero
When is Producthero the better choice?
Producthero, through Channable, is the better choice when the CSS saving and four click-and-ROAS labels cover what you need.
- You advertise in the EEA and are still on Google’s own CSS, so the CSS saving Producthero markets as up to 20% lower CPC can pay for itself. The fee is a flat €29 or €99 a month per active shop, whatever your spend.
- You want title and feed content optimisation (Title Optimizer, Products AI) in the same tool.
- Four labels from clicks and ROAS are enough for your account structure.
Choose Product Metrics
When is Product Metrics the better choice?
Product Metrics is the better choice when you need segments based on profit and the reason behind each product’s result.
- You sell high-volume, low-margin products and need POAS to check whether strong ROAS also produces profit.
- You need segments based on profit. Labelizer works from ROAS against a target ROAS and states no margin or POAS input.
- You want to know why a product underperforms (price position, stock, margin) before you pause it.
- You manage several client accounts through an MCC. Each client account gets its own free €10K of spend.
Together
Can you use Product Metrics and Producthero together?
Yes. Producthero’s CSS changes who serves your Shopping ads in the EEA. Product Metrics changes which products get the budget.
Use one segmentation logic per campaign structure, so the custom labels don’t conflict.
